High Court green signal for Modi road show
In the wake of the state assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the green signal to the 37 km road show that Prime Minister Narendra Modi intends to hold on Saturday and Sunday in Bengaluru city.
Only road show has been permitted on May 6 from 9 am to 1.30 pm and on May 7 from 9 am to 11.30 am.
2517 rallies have been held in the current year. No untoward incident took place in this case. An alternative route has been provided for the movement of ambulances and school buses. The Congress had requested the Election Commission not to grant permission to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bangalore mega road show. The petition demanded that the State Government, Director General of Police and Commissioner of Police Bangalore should be directed to submit a document related to the permission given by the state BJP to conduct the road show and the measures taken to control the traffic.
